Mark Iseman picked up a classical guitar he found in the house when he was 12 and began to teach himself guitar by ear, experimentation and study of many styles of music. Later took up bass guitar in jr. high music group and electric guitar at home and garages across his home town in California.
Taking to the stage and touring based around San Luis Obispo, Ca. came many different style original groups playing funk, rock, latin, blues, ska, reggae, folk, R&B, afrobeat, country, bluegrass, soul, punk, jazz, and world music. Some band names were Bootsie Merango, Bongoshe, Swamptalk, Candle, The Infamous Bourbon Boys, Nowadaze, The Green Room, Frankie Paredes Duo and Goodfoot.
Mark builds guitars, lap steels, and ukuleles for a living here on Oahu so he can fix you up with an instrument or repair.
Creating original music has been at the root of the musical journey for him and he’s been enjoying playing some funk, soul, and afrobeat with Goodfoot.
