While doing a skateboard tour around California, a tattoo artist handed Rollin Wakely a guitar to pass the time. Within 2 weeks he purchased his own and started an affair that left his love for skateboarding to dwindle. The new found love continued to college were he avoided responsibility for as long as possible and got a minor in music focusing on upright bass and composition.
Sometimes playing bass, drums, guitar, or sax, Rollin’s played in various bands in Hawaii, Japan and Thailand. Performing with band names including Habib, Easily Illest, She Go, The Hook, Tri-funk, and Good Foot.
Always looking to offer input in song writing, Rollin’s love of Jazz, afro-beat and rock pushes his song writing choices towards darker colored tones and rhythmic variety while trying to avoid overdone complexity.
